iPhone Snaps & Bits | Coffee Edit

I make sure to dedicate my weekends as cheat day for coffee! I once contemplated to purchase my very own coffee machine but then something is always holding me back.

FIVE THINGS THAT KEEP ME SANE

Sometimes life can be tough and we need to take a step back to get ourselves together. With a full time job, a course, and a blog to run, I often catch myself breakdown to a point where I'm unmotivated and can't be bothered to do anything! There comes creative block which happens when I'm stressed out.

VIDEO | VLOG! DAY OFF DO's #1 : Flashback Weekend Snippets

First of all, who's excited for the Rugby World Cup finals?! I'm not the biggest fan of rugby, but I'm definitely rooting for All Blacks (New Zealand rugby team) to bag the title! Here comes the weekend, and my cafe life begins! Fun fact, trying out coffees from different cafes is my weekend guilty pleasure! It helps me pick the best of the best! I also love the different feels, different cafes give and I definitely have my favorite spots I always go back to!

iPhone Snaps & Bits: Coffee & Food Gram

Have been on a coffee and food kick as of late. One of the things I enjoy the most! I'm not a big eater myself, but coffee is a necessity for me! Here's a round up of my coffee gram for the past month.

iPhone Snaps & Bits: First Day of Spring

Yay for warmer weather approaching! Unfortunately in Wellington specifically, warm weather does not come until November! Atleast it is getting brighter every day and sunny through out the week.

iPhone Snaps & Bits : Visiting Home

Exactly three weeks ago, I did an unplanned trip back to the Philippines. I have not been home for almost 6ish years and for sure, everything has changed. If it wasn't for a sudden loss, I probably won't be back any time sooner. Since it was only a short trip, I throughly planned my days, set up meetings with friends & relatives I wanted to catch up with. I have to admit, I'm a paranoid anxious flyer. Little turbulence gives me massive anxiety. Thank goodness for the best pilots of PAL for getting me safely both ways.

iPhone Snaps & Bits Autmn / Winter 2015

This past few months has been quite full on. I don't know where the days has gone but I can't believe its half a year already! Work has pretty much taken over my life which is a good or bad thing. Good because I get to save extra, bad because I don't have time to do other things. In between day offs I've been out and about and luckily it always falls on a sunny day.

When I'm stuck in a rut..

We've all been there, where we can't think straight, no motivation, we feel down because of insecurities, or just under the weather in general. It is easy to say we're okay when we are definitely not! We can only take in so much that our mind gets all cluttered that will lead to negative thoughts which can affect yourself and the people around you.

iPhone Snaps & Bits: Autumn 2015

March has been great and definitely the month where I have been so productive and spent most days outdoors. Fun little activities, festivals, and of course food! This year's autumn is definitely the best - we were given great weather, festivals, and good food!

QUICK MEAL HELPER FOR FLATTERS

Flatting can be exhausting at times especially when it comes to cooking meals. I'm sure anyone can get away with takeaways 90% of the time, unfortunately not everyone have spare money to splurge on food. One thing I learned from flatting is, you can always save a ton of money by making food at home, that are almost as good as your favorite restaurants. It takes a lot of patience and commitment really. There's a ton of recipe books out there or even online recipes using only 5 ingredients if you are on a strict budget or novice at cooking!

iPhone Snaps & Bits: Gold Coast and Theme Parks 2015

Second part of my recent summer getaway to Brisbane. If you follow me on Instgram (@meetmariee), you probably already saw some of these photos. Towards the end of our trip, we travelled to Gold Coast and stayed for a couple of days to see my mum. On the day we arrived, the beach is closed because of the upcoming cyclone, so we just hang around the shopping area. Golly gosh shopping centers close at 10pm everyday!! We had a great time despite the heavy rain (apparently Cyclone Marcia hit Northern Queensland quite badly). If you are in Gold Coast, theme parks are the best place to visit! Sadly, we did not get to enjoy the rides as much as half of the theme parks are closed due to excessive rain. I had a great time  and would totally go back, and this time when its fully sunny!

iPhone Snaps & Bits: Summer in Brisbane 2015

I'm very grateful and lucky that me and my boyfriend get to go for holiday this summer. It's nice to have a breather from stressful environment. We flew to Brisbane pretty much every year to visit family and friends. This year is the longest we stayed and I love every bit of it! That gives us more time to see everyone and catch up. February is the best time to go to Brisbane as it is not too hot or overly sunny. It can get a little humid though but I guess thats better than having both worlds.

One Day Trip To See Lavenders

As part of our quick break away from the city, we went to visit Lavender Creek Farm. It is located at Te Horo, Kapiti. I first found out about this place when one of my work mate posted a photo on Facebook! I was interested to see what place looks like and if there's things you can do.

iPhone Snaps & Bits: Kapiti Coast, Beach, Lavenders

I was pretty stoked that this year is one of the best summers we have for a very long time. One week of consecutive sunshine and intensely hot weather. Last weekend, we travelled up to Kapiti Coast to visit family and spent 3days in the area.

Suit up and enjoy the heat!

This past few days we have been getting temperatures from 20-28 degrees which is pretty unusual for Wellington! I must say this is also one of my first times dipping into the ocean, showering cold water, and blasting the fan! Though a few people would complain that it can get a little too hot, I on the other hand is pretty happy and loving every bit of it. We don't get this much good weather consecutively, and the fact that we get to enjoy the ocean is already amazing! My agenda every day off is going to the beach. There is something relaxing about it and the water takes all the stress and anxiety away. Think of it as holiday every day!

Since the heat can be a lot stronger, I suggest putting on SPF every now and then. Also if you're tanning, don't stay under the sun far too long! I learned it the hard way when I got my first ever sunburn and it is awful! Other than that, have fun and make the most of summer!

Thanks for stopping by!

iPhone Snaps & Bits: GET TOASTED 2015

Start of 2015 and I'm excited what it has to offer. We did not do anything exciting to welcome the new year. Work has pretty much taken over and it sucks to have it that way. Though things will change this 2015! I have decided to focus more in making great content for you guys, also to really sit down and have time to myself.

CHEERS TO 2015!

2014 has been a great year for me. I have discovered my passion and received tremendous amount of love, support, and appreciation of what I do. I gained more friends through social media and I have been more comfortable and confident than ever! I'm very grateful for everything and for my New Year's resolution, I want to be more positive in every aspect of life. This will help me reduce stress, anxiety, and focus more on what I need improvement rather than just whining about it. It will also help me have a clear vision of where I want to be this year.

I wish you guys a Happy New Year filled with love, success, and positivity! Cheers to 2015 and for new beginnings!

Thanks for stopping by!
