WHAT'S IN MY CLUTCH? | SUMMER EDIT

I used to be one who would carry a massive bag filled with receipts, rubbish, and other things that aren't necessary. After a few years, I've down sized and went for a small bucket bag which can fit enough things but not too hard to carry around. I still carry it from time to time but I realised that I always carry two things with me when I'm out and about - phone & wallet. From then on, I moved on from basically carrying any huge bag.

#OOTD: Marie Wears Camel Trench

I've been meaning to post about this trench coat for forever but the weather did not permit. Thank goodness for the sun today! Trench coat is becoming a thing this winter. It makes any outfit look chic and warm whether it is dressed up or down. For some reason it gives me that grungy vibe when wearing a trench coat, and that is my inspiration for this outfit.

WINTER FASHION INSPIRATION

Winter is just around the corner down in southern hemisphere and it is about time to bring out big coats, knitwear's, and booties. Back in the days I did not really care about how I look every winter season. As long as I can keep myself warm and bundled I'm all good. I used to live in thin long sleeves and puffy jackets until I discovered ways to put together a nice outfit and still look warm and cozy at the same time. Over the years, I've slowly converted myself into wearing black and white. For me, it is classic and never goes out of style. It also gives me a challenge to be creative, so it does not look boring and outdated.

Here are some fashion inspirations that I'm currently loving:

This rainy weather is taking a toll on me. Last week, we had good sunny days and this week it immediately turned into blah. I wish we can have a descent summer this year in Wellington. A couple of days ago, we got blessed with a lovely day. Though it was a bit chilly, I always take any opportunity  to wear shorts because why not!

#OOTD No. 4: SLOUCHY SUNDAY

Hola! Hope everyone had a great Sunday! Since we do shift work, I do get weekends off every 2 weeks so I try to do as much for my blog for one day and then relax the next day. This past Sunday Wellington was lucky enough to get a great weather. I love Sundays because I find it more relaxing especially when its nice and sunny. For outfit planning, I usually live in sweatpants and shirt but since the weather is forgiving I opted for distressed denim shorts and a light baggy knit. It is all about the comfort for me as I do errands and coffee run.

#OOTD No.3 : Distressed Jeans

If you follow me on INSTAGRAM, you would know how obsessed I am with distressed jeans! majority of my jeans are baggy and distressed as they are so comfortable to wear. I also love the idea of dressing it up and down depending on the vibe I'm feeling. We are currently at spring time in New Zealand, and the weather has been very unpredictable in Wellington. Some days, it would be nice and warm, but most days it is sunny but accompanied by gustily wind which makes it cold still. If only we have the same weather as Australia!

#OOTD: CASUAL STAPLES

If you have been following on INSTAGRAM (here), you already now that I'm a sucker for ripped jeans! 50% of my wardrobe is filled with distressed jeans. I love how you can dress it up by wearing pumps or heels, then dress it down by wearing slip ons or Birkenstocks for a laid back look. Since majority of the clothing I own is monochromatic, might as well add a bit of texture here and there for a more edgy look!
Since I work a 12 hour shift with lots of walking involved, on my days off I like to be fashionably comfortable and presentable at the same time.

Here are my 3 of my fashion staples and the ones that you can't see me without:

 1. Ripped or distressed jeans - Goldie

2. Bucket bag - Tony Bianco Misha

3. Slip ons or loafers - Country Road Leoni Check Sneaker

What are your fashion staples?

Thanks for stopping by!

SHOE SELFIE

A little different post for today. As we all know the ever so popular trend these days is taking SELFIES. They even made a song about it which is hilarious! Anyway every women is a shoe lover whether you admit it or not. I happen to be one but not the type where I wear different shoes to match different outfits. For me shoes is a staple. I get inspired when fashion bloggers style different outfits with the same pair of shoes. It just shows that you don't need to spend a ton of money and collect gazillion pairs, when you can have 1 or maybe 5 pairs and wear them in different ways. Flats is a must have for me since I do a lot of walking. Sneakers/trainers,slip ons, and loafers are becoming on trend. Honestly, I didn't really fall into the trend until late and I have to say it makes everything more comfortable and trendy without looking blah. Perfect for lazy days I must say!
Whenever I feel fancy schmancy, heels are my favorite foot accessory. I tend to gravitate towards wedge and block heels. They are the most comfiest and easy to walk on all day and night!

What kind of shoes do you consider your staple?

wrap around my neck

     Hello everyone!

I am not a fan of wearing necklaces or rings on  everyday wear or special occasions, but I am mostly known for wearing tons of bangles and bracelets everyday! I have like two full drawers of different bangles and bracelets! Insane I know but these days, there is no such word as "too much". I have seen people wearing spikes, gold, etc which I think is a bit over the top but thats what we mainly aim for fashion- TO STAND OUT. I purchased a couple of necklaces at a very affordable price to pump up my wardrobe a bit :). It's nice to try new things!

Here are  a few of my top pick necklaces:

             What's your top pick accessories?

Thanks for reading and have a lovely day!

Out & About: Op-Shopping

Lately I have been obsessing with op-shopping! It is actually the best way if you are a fashionista and you needed to be in style without spending loads of money in one outfit.  Browsing through fashion blogs made me realize that fashion isn't actually about the brand, but how you mix and match certain colors and patterns. From vintage to retro kind of clothing, accessories, and shoes everything is there! Often times it is the best place to find unique pieces that way you don't have to worry about walking around seeing people the same clothes as you do. The type of clothes varies from day to day. Sometimes they would have good stuff which runs out quick! I would suggest you to stop by from time time if you are interested. Honestly, its worth checking out! Here are the places I like to visit in Wellington area:

Paper Princess is located at Cuba St

Items are nothing over $20.

This is probably the famous shop with a lot of interesting goodies at a reasonable price! It is located in Vivian St.

Vintage finds mostly cool jerseys and blazer. The Fringe Bar Market located at Cuba St

And this is the floral top I scored at Paper Princess!
