Product rediscoveries are my favourite! I've accumulated quite a lot of new products that I started to forget about the first ones loved. Drugstore products is where it all started and I have a couple favourites I could not pass. 

THE FACE: WINGED LINER, BOLD LIPS. [WINTER EDIT]

Who doesn't love a good bold lip and winged liner? Simple yet a good statement look for winter. When picking a good bold lipstick, I pick the one that has blue undertone. It helps with making my teeth appear a lot whiter. It also complements my skin tone best as supposed to a warmer shade.

Two weeks ago, I did an unplanned trip back to Philippines for funeral. It was a good as I haven't been home for the longest time, bad because of the reason why I decided to finally go back to visit. I find packing makeup products challenging! As much as I wanted to bring all my favorite ones on board, I have to also think of products that has double purpose since it was only a ten day trip.

It has been awhile since I did this series in my blog. Recently, I have been reorganising my makeup drawers. To my surprise, I found products that I love that I used to love when I was just getting into makeup. If you are a makeup lover/hoarder, you start to accumulate products and get with the trend you forget the products that used to be your jam.

Maybelline New York is on fire with coming out of new products these days! Unfortunately, we in New Zealand get them last because of geographic reasons (perks of being down under). I was extremely excited about the Color Drama lip pencils to arrive. It was the talk among UK bloggers and youtubers I follow for a hot minute, so of course I have to get it! 

CURRENT FAVORITES : On-the-go Products

I don't typically follow trends or tags but after watching / reading so many favorites, I thought I would share mine too! My favorites are basically the same except for maybe one or two products that are in rotation depending on what I feel like. I used to be a fan of full coverage, super matte look mainly because I was suffering from bad acne (biggest insecurity ever) and wanted to mask that all away.

Drugstore CULT Product: Barely Branded by Maybelline

I have been a fan of the Maybelline Color Tattoo cream eyeshadows since it came out. They last long and its a great base under any eyeshadow or you can even wear it on its own. I own two shades which are Bad To The Bronze a bronzy brown shade and the Pomegranate Punk which is a cranberry shade. Both shades are great for smokey eye but I'm looking for something I can slap on my lids on everyday basis.

Could this be a possible dupe?

High end products are great to have, but you always don't have the means to repurchase your favorites every now and then. Thanks to drugstore/high street products that have been upping their game recently! Finding a dupe (cheaper alternative that performs the same as your high end favorite product) is such a joyful achievement! You are not only saving your bucks, you are also getting your money's worth.
