THE FACE: MEET MATT(E) NUDE.

Anything matte eyeshadows and neutral count me in! When it comes to makeup, I like to stay in my comfort zone in eyeshadow department and go all out on lipstick. In purchasing a palette, it is very rare to find an all matte eyeshadow palette. Normally palette would consist 3 mattes and the rest are either shimmery or metallic.

Well, I'm glad that The Balm came out with all matte eyeshadow palette. I'm actually surprised that it did not get much hype from the makeup world. The eyeshadow colors are mixture of cool tones and a bit of warm tones. At first glance, the colors seems very off and dirty but there's a few standouts like Matt Singh which is great for transition color,  Matt Garcia, Matt Rosen, and Matt Lombardi as a highlight. I'd say some of  shades tend to get chalky when swatched like Matt Hung and Matt Abdul.

Pigmentation wise, they are pretty pigmented. In my opinion they are fairly blendable and lasts for a good 6'ish hours.

Like other The Balm product, the packaging is so cute. It comes with a vintage print which makes it more unique and fun to look at. However for the eyeshadow palette, if you are not careful it could break as it is made out of cardboard.

If you live in New Zealand you can purchase The Balm products from Beautybliss and this palette retails for $59.00 NZD.
