The Hype Made Me Do It!

HOURGLASS first came out with their Ambient Lighting Powder, which everyone went gaga for. Of course I can't deny the fact that I fell into the bandwagon. The powder is so finely milled, silky, and melts into the skin like no other powder. It gives a soft focus finish which blurs any pores or imperfections.

 A few months ago, they released another addition to their collection, Ambient Lighting Blush. It has the same properties and formulation as the Ambient Lighting Powders - silky texture, finely milled, blends into the skin seamlessly. First of all, can we please take this time and admire how adorable the packaging and the powder itself is? I first purchased Luminous Flush which is a peachy coral shade. The next day, I went back and purchased another shade Mood Exposure which is a subtle plum (it comes off as mauve color in my skin tone) shade. Both of these blushes have warm undertones. The color pay off of these blushes are one of a kind, it is buildable and easy to blend. It almost gives the most flattering glow and healthy finish.

Beauty Grabs: ChiChi Cosmetics

After so many months of ignoring this brand, I finally gave in! Chi Chi Cosmetics is an Australian brand available to both Australia and New Zealand. It is one of those drugstore brands that is underrated and never talked about, up until recently.

Australis Paparazzi Perfect

I purchased this multicolored blush late last year for summer but I didn't get around into using it. Australis is an Australian affordable makeup brand which you can get from Farmers (New Zealand department store). The shade I have is called POSER. I am not sure if this blush is still around or how much it cost. I was recently organizing my makeup stash and I found this, so I gave this a try. The packaging is nothing special but when you open it, the powder looks like an imprint of world map. The blush has an orange based undertone which put me off. I guess this color will work a lot better for people with medium deep to dark skin tone. I'm not sure if I applied too much but I don't think it suits my skin tone as it is very orange and unnatural looking. However, the burgundy part  and the highlight is somewhat wearable. The powder itself is okay and goes on in the skin smoothly.The product claims to blur out pores and fine lines, which I think didn't do it at all. Overall I think the product is great just this particular color that I would pass, I wish I got the pinker shade instead.
