I did my current favorites not too long ago and I'm back again with a few 'oldie but a goodie' products that I rotate every now and then. This time it is a mixture of things that I use but never get any special mention on the blog.
In deep cleaning my makeup brushes, I have been using the Johnson's Baby Shampoo religiously with a bit of olive oil to take all the gunk off the makeup brushes. This works wonders and for the price, I got no complaints at all! If you are not fond of washing your hair everyday, dry shampoo is the best thing you can ever own! My favorite brand is Batiste Dry Shampoo in 'blush'. I have three cans of this which is a bit excessive! It does leave a white cast if not blended or brushed properly. The other brand of dry shampooo that I have tried and loved is the VO5 Refresh Me Quick dry shampoo which I did a blog post on [here].
Now for the fun part which is makeup! I managed to downsize my favorites into four items. Well items worth mentioning since I did not want to post same products I use everyday. To set your foundation, I've learned that it is actually better to use a powder puff rather than using a powder brush. It gives a more flawless and natural finish! It also controls the oil and does not streak or cake up your foundation easily. I use the Moisture Mist Loose Powder Puff but any powder puff will do.
We are coming into summer in New Zealand and as much as possible, I like to stay away from heavy coverage foundation. I did a Korean beauty haul back then which can be read [here], and the Lioele Dollish BB Cream in 'green veil' is one of them. I have been using this product on and off. It is perfect for covering redness in your face. There is some kind of sorcery involved in this product, because fresh off the tube, it comes off as green cream but once blended into skin, it changes and matches to your skin tone! Brilliant idea and I'm sure a lot of brands are slowly coming out with similar products. It also has an SPF of 30 which is perfect base for beach days or just lazy days in general!
Another beauty favorite is the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in 'french fries'. When I get up in the morning to go to work, I don't have spare 5 minutes to do a full on eye makeup and this is where it comes handy. Just swipe it on your eyelids blend it with your magical fingers and you're good to go!
The last beauty product is this Wondeful Mascara by Rimmel with Argan Oil. This is relatively new to my stash and I've fallen inlove with the formula. It is not like of the other mascara I used in the past. It coats your lashes beautifully and gives a natural flare to your eyelashes without looking all clumpy and flakey. The plastic wand is amazing in coating every lash you have but not that great for giving much volume.
What are your current favorites??
Thanks for stopping by!
xx
