iPhone Snaps & Bits : Auckland, Concert, Cafe

Two weeks ago me and couple of friends flew up to Auckland to see two concerts and also to getaway from windy Wellington. We only stayed for three days but it felt like two weeks! I think because we were in the city, there's too much going on, and on top of that I was overwhelmed by how much people there are walking in the streets! Definitely not used to a chaotic city since Wellington is very compact and less busier.

Our flight was quite early and we don't check in till 3pm, so when we got to the city, we stopped by at this cafe called Remedy Cafe just opposite the CIVIC in Queens Street. The place is quite small, but the environment is very cozy and has a homy feel to it. They also offer free wifi and book exchange which I think is great when you are killing time, studying, or want to catch up with office/school work. As per usual, I always order my favorite which is salmon on toasted bagel with cream cheese! I like to compare which one has the best bagel!

So far, this cafe does the most creative salmon bagel toast I have ever tried! It is nicely, and OMG very appetizing!

On our first night, we went to T-Pain's concert and oh boy aren't we lucky we got the best view ever! He is such a cool lad and he sang my favorite throwback songs such as Kiss Kiss, Church, Bartender, etc. He even did a pose for everyone to take his photos before he started performing! We all had a great night!

Second night, we went to Lil Jon's concert. Thinking of Lil Jon made us all pumped and ready for his crazy performance. When we got there, there's only a spin table nothing else. Being the ever so popular crazy performer we kind of expected more but instead he only started spinning some tunes just like the ones you hear at the clubs. At the end he somewhat played three of his popular songs Outa Your Mind, Shots, Turned Down For What and that's about it! To be honest, it was pretty disappointing.

For our last day, we caught up with a friend and my boyfriend's cousin for lunch. We wandered for the last time along Queens Street then headed to waterfront for lunch. The weather was a bit cloudy and has gotten quite cold. We spent our last day with lots of walking involved, and when you're hangover, walking is the last thing you'll ever think of! LOL.

We got our photo taken for free at a photo booth along waterfront. They are promoting boat safety by wearing a life vest. Don't I look way too happy in this photo? It was such a fun trip nevertheless and sure a memorable one!

Thanks for stopping by!
