Bobbi Brown is one of the great brands out there in the beauty market and I'm surprised that I have not tried any of their products! The price range is comparable to higher end products such as YSL, Lancome that's why I stayed away from it! When I saw Sally Jo raved about her Bobbi Brown three pan palette and eyeshadows on youtube, thought I would run to the store and try some of their products. As Bobbi Brown is known for her neutral smokey eye, and since I'm a neutral kind of girl, I decided to purchase the eyeshadows. I originally wanted to purchase the three pan palette but they ran out of stock, so I opted for the four pan palette.
To fill my palette, I bought two eyeshadows - one being matte (COCOA) , and the other is metallic (CHAMPAGNE QUARTZ). Both eyeshadows are great for everyday and night time wear and looking at the colors, you can also use these as a contour shade and highlighter! (So its a two in one action!). The texture of the eyeshadow is quite unexplainable. It is not too buttery, but it is smooth and not overly pigmented. The metallic shade is not chunky, in fact it is very finely milled and gives a nice sheen when applied to the lids which is great to give a more awaken look. The eyeshadows retailed for $50 NZD which is not very pocket friendly, and the palette costs $35 NZD.
What I love about these Bobbi Brown eyeshadows is you can pop them out and put them in the pan to customize your palette or you can just take any eyeshadow color you want.
Overall I'm pretty happy with the quality of the eyeshadows, the only downside I find is that the packaging of the palette is so bulky, so as their powders! I wish it is a little bit slimmer so you can just squeeze it in your makeup bag. Not everyone can carry a huge makeup bag! I'm looking into getting two more colors to fill my first ever Bobbi Brown customized palette! If you have any recommendations, that would be awesome!
Thanks for stopping by!
xx
