Background Idea for Blog Photos

I know I'm not the only one who struggles about this! Seeing a few of your favorite bloggers with great backgrounds/backdrops for their blog photos can be intimidating, but don't be! There are a lot of ways for you to achieve the same photos by using your creativity and imagination. Finding whatever works for you is the main key to achieve great looking photos. Of course that does not necessarily involve buying all the things you need, obviously we always don't have spare change to buy everything! If you can go as cheap as possible that is even better! You are not breaking your bank, but you are using your creative minds to produce a creative photo.

Personally, I don't own any desks or vanity in my flat. All my photos are either taken on the floor with a white cardboard, or on top of the foldable table that I have. Most of us will use a plain white background but sometimes it is good to have a bit of pattern, vibrant colors here and there to make your photos eye catchy and not plain. One out of hundreds of ideas I found is to use any scrapbooking paper or designer paper that you can find at your local department stores. It only costs $2 -$5 and you can reuse it over and over again!

If you're sick of your plain white background, why not use colored paper? It instantly changes the whole look of the entire photo!

If you're into pattern, here's a couple of designer papers I had laying around. This only cost $5 from Gordon Harris if I'm not mistaken.

And the other ones that I have is this pretty Japanese paper with a beautiful gold print. It makes anything look more put together and pretty looking.

I hope this helps and until next time!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Those papers look so nice! I've got some fabric offcuts from spotlight that i like to use as backgrounds, but they get wrinkles so paper might be easier. Thanks for the idea!

    1. You're welcome. I love using paper because once you finished you can recycle it by making it into a card or even a wrapping paper. They also don't get wrinkled. And it is reasonably priced too!
