Beauty Grabs: CLARINS Instant Perfecting Touch + Gift Pack

I couldn't recall where I heard about this product, but any primer that fills in pores and smooths the base before foundation then count me in! Normally I would not go for brand like CLARINS, because I feel like they are more focused on mature women's skin. Guess I'm wrong! I have been discovering

a lot of different brands that inspired me to branch out from over rated products like MAC, NARS, Bobbi Brown, Chanel, etc that you mostly see on Instagram. Since CLARINS was having  a sale going on last month (JUNE '14), I decided to give this primer a go. I was originally planning on buying the Lip Perfector Gloss which Claire Marshall raves about on her youtube channel, so instead I bought the Moisture Replenishing Lip Balm with Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch, to get a free gift pack! Yes an entire skin care pack for free!

The primer comes in a red glass jar, and I love how it comes with mini spatula so you can scrape all the product out without any wastage! Brilliant idea! The texture is silicony like and is very comparable to Benefit's Porefessional Primer. It claims to fill in your pores, smooth any bumps, and prolong the foundation wear. Well I can't justify any of that for now because I have not played with this product yet. Might have to incorporate this to my makeup routine sometime to give a full review.

Onto the gift pack! The deal was exclusive last month when you purchase products more than $89 NZD, you'll get a free gift pack valued $200 NZD ( I think) which is a lot of money! There are 3 options based on your skin type: oily, dry, sensitive/combination. I got the one for oily combination skin. I think it is great value of money as you get a descent size of products (body lotion, toner, facial wash, moisturizer, anti-aging cream, and a lipstick). This is good if you want to try certain products from the brand but don't want to spend a ton and regret later if it didn't work for your needs.
