The best part of Christmas in Wellington is the lighting up of Telecom Christmas tree which stands 7 storeys high, and is made up of 375,000 led lights. What I like about this project, is every year they would put up lights with different lighting patterns and star design. I was thrilled when one of the guys who works for Telecom and actually the designer of the tree came to our class and became one of our tutors! He showed us concepts of the star designs. To make it more interesting, they put telephone booths on the side of the tree where people preferably children would give Santa a call and it would go up to the star. Its a brilliant idea so that people can interact with the lights and get to control them. They also put bean bags under the tree so you can see the tree from underneath.
The star looks like the statue of liberty from underneath and its pretty cool to just watch the flow of lights.
I could not get under the Christmas tree since its fully occupied, so I just took a photo from the side.

Every time we go somewhere I would always ask Jack if I could take his photo. He is a bit hesitant but the camera just loves him! Therefore he is always my subject!
This is probably my favourite photo of Jack.
Again, this is a long overdue post and I apologize for not consistently updating my blog. Enjoy reading!
Beautiful shots Camie! I love the B&W effect! Did you edit these on Photoshop? And Jack looks good even if he was hesitant! You're such a cute couple together!
ReplyDeleteThanks Iris! I used my camera settings for this one! It was actually hard to see it on camera screen but when I viewed it on my computer it looks good! So I didn't really do much editing ;)
