CURRENT FAVORITES: Lightweight Products

Another month has gone by and we are already on the first day of the last month of 2014! It was a crazy ride for sure! I only have a few favorites since I've been using the same products from my previous favorites post. Well I added a few and also went back to some old favorites.

La Roche- Posay Effaclar Duo - The ultimate skin rescuer! As I regularly suffer from acne, I find it really hard to find a product that will help my skin without irritating. I was hesitant on using this product at first because I don't know whether my skin would approve or not but I guess its worth a try! Oh wow I was completely wrong! It definitely helped calm down my skin and I've noticed a few of my darkspots lightened after 1 week of use. It has a gel like consistency but is very lightweight and does not leave your skin feeling dry and tight after application. Hands down my favorite product that works. Sadly for New Zealand, you can't get it anywhere except maybe online. I purchased mine at Priceline Australia. I also did a blog post about La Roche-Posay products here.

Australis Makeup Finishing Spritz-  This product was one of my very first makeup product purchased, when I was just starting into makeup. Back then, I didn't really know what it does nor understand what it was for. Now that I went back to using it, I almost forgot how good this makes my makeup look! It is rose scented and infused with aloe vera that calms and soothes the skin as well as prolong the wear of my makeup. This cost $23 NZD and you can purchase them from Farmers or selected pharmacies. I'd say this works better than MAC's Fix Plus and it is only half the price!

Garnier BB Cream - This has been my ride or die base. No matter how many foundations I try, I always  go back to it. It is very lightweight and does a great job in evening out my skintone. The coverage is great, blurs out my big pores, and it gives a semi-matte finish. It is one of the best BB cream I've tried and I did a blog post dedicated to this BB cream here.

MAC Matte Blush in 'Coppertone' - A warm peachy blush that is perfect for everyday. I can get away with just wearing this blush without bronzing. The warmth of the color gives a natural flush in my face and this shade is great for any skin colour. When piled on, it can give a nice bronzy look paired with a gold champagne highlight for that sun-kissed look!

SLEEK Eyebrow Kit in 'Dark' - This brow kit consists a powder and a wax which is great for flattening those wild brow hairs in place. The only problem I have is it has a very red tone to it, so I only use the wax to create a crisp line underneath the brows. If applied light-handed, it mimics the brow hairs (despite the red undertone) making it look natural. I purchased this from BeautyBliss for $22 which is fairly affordable!

Maybelline Color Tattoo Metal in 'Barely Branded' - This is a new favorite and probably will be for a long time. It is a perfect champagne gold color that is great for highlighting the middle of the lids to make your eyes look more awake. Maybelline's color tattoo shadows are great as a base or an all over lid color for a go-to look. I did a blog post about this not too long ago, click here.

Natural Glow Luscious Lips Shimmer Gloss in 'Sugar Rose' - I got this lipgloss from one of the beauty subscription box and from then on I've been using it on and off. I rediscovered it recently and been wearing it everyday for the past 2weeks. It has a coral tinit to it and the texture is thick but buttery. I love the formula of this lipgloss, it is not sticky at all and moisturising. It feels like a balm and it enhances the natural color of my lips. Great for everyday and substitute for a lip balm.

These are the products that I have been enjoying for a couple of weeks.

What are your favorite products?

Thanks for stopping by!
Xx
