Oh wow it is about time for a change and MAC did a revamp in their Mineralize Line! Of course, the packaging is slick black just like their Studio Fix powders.
The finish is glossy and it is one of those packaging that snaps close with a magnet. Both packaging has its pros and cons but obviously one works better than the other.
Let's start with the old packaging! The old packaging has a see through plastic which is a time saver as it shows you the shade that you want to use without having to go through stuff and opening every single powders you have. I also find that the old packaging is easy to open because of that clickable dent that enables you to snap them open and close. One thing that I don't like is that it makes MAC look a bit cheap looking and that plastic cover breaks easily. I had to glue mine back on so I don't get dust into my powder. Also it does not have a mirror, for quick touch ups.
However, I quite fancy the new packaging! It looks more chic and sophisticated. I am so happy that they put a mirror to the new packaging which is handy for touch ups. The only feature I don't like is how you open it. It tends to get slippery and gets hard to open as it is it does not have that dent for your finger to cling on! Or maybe its just me and my sweaty hands! LOL. I must say that the new packaging matches the other products in their Mineralize line!
