Put A Mask On

Mask is one of the skincare products  every women should have. Nothing is more satisfying than clearing all the gunk out of your face once or twice a week. I don't know how it is done but I'm telling you, it works wonders! Typically I was never a fan of masks only because of the process that goes behind it (putting it on, waiting for it to dry, and rinsing it all off). I have been having hormonal breakouts lately which is very frustrating and figured why not mask it once or twice a week! I have tried a few face masks and I've narrowed it down to two masks that I love which works for my skin type, and an OKAY mask.

For reference: I have an oily, acne-prone skin, medium with yellow undertone. My main concern are my large pores, and bumps that occasionally pops out of nowhere.

Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask is by far one of my favorite mask. I first found out about this on youtube specifically from Dana Ann's channel where she talked about this mask so much. This contains sulfur which is the only acne fighting ingredient that works well for my skin! Not only I use this as a mask but I also use this as a spot treatment for breakouts. So it's a 2 in 1 product at a very affordable price. I purchased mine at www.iherb.com for $3.84 USD.

Next is the Freeman Peel-Off Mask Cucumber. This is a new discovery of mine and I'm in love! I was looking for a new mask that I can alternate with my Mint Julep Mask every pamper day. The idea of peel-off mask is great as you don't have to go through rinsing the mask with wash cloth etc. Instead you peel it away and you can actually see the gunk coming off your face, leaving it squeaky clean and fresh. I purchased mine at Farmers for $20 NZD (rounded up price :p)

Last one is a not so favorite ORIGINS Clear Improvement Charcoal Mask. Charcoal masks are great for deep cleaning enlarged pores and oil. Based on my experience with this mask, it is an OKAY mask. I feel like it does not really do anything for my skin, apart from leaving my face smooth after use. I may have to try it with steamer to see if it can work. But other than that, I probably would not repurchase this mask.

Another mask that I'm dying to try is the Glam Glow Clearing Mud Mask! I just don't have that money to splurge on a mask but if ever I find a site where I can find a sample size, then YES!

What are your favorite masks?

xx
