Shopping Checklist
Before you shop:
1. Sort your wardrobe into clothing types like skirts, shirts, trousers. This makes it easier to see what items you need. As a general rule you should own a third more tops than bottom-halves.
2. Be ruthless- is there anything that is over two years old that you know you won't wear again? Take it to a second-hand clothing shop or give it to charity. By uncluttering precious wardrobe space you'll make room for the truly essential pieces. Plus, you may reward yourself with more spending money!
3. Consider your favorite pieces. Why do you wear them frequently? What cuts and colours do you automatically favour? Subconciously you are choosing the pieces that suit you best.
4. Make a list of items you need that will work with your current wardrobe and set a budget.
5. On the day that you shop get your foundations right: wear flattering seamless underwear. Dress in garments that are easy to change out of and back into. Wear slip-on shoes.
